Welcome to Vine! By accessing or using our mobile application and services ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Service.

We may modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

2. Eligibility

To use Vine, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Be legally able to enter into a binding contract
  • Not be prohibited from using our Service under applicable laws
  • Not have been previously banned from our Service
  • Be single or separated and seeking a genuine romantic relationship

3. Account Registration

To access Vine, you must create an account by providing accurate and complete information. You agree to:

  • Provide truthful, accurate, and current information
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Promptly update your information if it changes
  • Accept responsibility for all activity under your account
  • Not share your account with others

4. The Vine Matching System

Vine uses an asymmetric matching system designed to create meaningful connections:

4.1 For Women

  • Receive up to 10 curated matches daily
  • Express interest in matches within 24 hours
  • Initiate conversations only with mutual matches

4.2 For Men

  • Profile distributed to eligible women daily
  • Receive notifications when women express interest
  • 72 hours to respond to expressed interest
  • Lifetime limits: 1,000 interests received, 400 conversations initiated

4.3 Conversations

  • Conversations automatically archive after 7 days
  • This encourages timely, meaningful communication

5. User Conduct

You agree NOT to:

  • Use Vine for any illegal purpose
  • Harass, abuse, or harm other users
  • Post false, misleading, or deceptive content
  • Upload inappropriate, offensive, or explicit content
  • Impersonate any person or entity
  • Solicit money or other items from other users
  • Use automated systems, bots, or scripts
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service
  • Collect information about other users without consent
  • Use Vine for commercial purposes without authorization
  • Circumvent any security features of the Service

6. Content

6.1 Your Content

You retain ownership of content you post but grant Vine a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute your content in connection with the Service.

6.2 Content Standards

All content must:

  • Be yours or you have permission to use it
  • Not infringe any third-party rights
  • Be accurate and not misleading
  • Comply with all applicable laws

6.3 Content Removal

We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these Terms or our community guidelines without notice.

7. Verification

Vine requires identity verification for all users. By using our Service, you agree to:

  • Provide a valid government-issued ID
  • Take a verification selfie
  • Record a 15-second introduction video

Verification helps maintain a safe, authentic community. Failure to complete verification will result in limited access to features.

8. Safety

While we implement safety measures, we cannot guarantee the conduct of users. You are responsible for your own safety when interacting with others. Please review our Safety Tips.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without cause, including for:

  • Violation of these Terms
  • Conduct that harms other users or the Service
  • Fraudulent or illegal activity
  • Extended inactivity

You may delete your account at any time through the app settings.

10. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE:

  • Uninterrupted or error-free service
  • Accuracy or reliability of any content
  • That you will find a match or relationship
  • The conduct or compatibility of other users

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, VINE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

12. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of Vine shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with applicable arbitration rules, except where prohibited by law.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of [Jurisdiction], without regard to conflict of law principles.
