Child Safety Standards
Last updated: December 15, 2025
Our Commitment
Vine is committed to maintaining the highest standards of child safety. All apps within social or dating categories must provide published safety standards and contact information to comply with child safety standards policies.
We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and take proactive measures to protect minors on our platform.
Age Verification
Vine is exclusively for adults aged 18 years and older. We implement multiple verification measures:
- Age Declaration: Users must declare their date of birth during registration
- Photo Verification: Profile photos are reviewed to ensure users appear to be adults
- Document Verification: We may request government-issued ID verification for suspicious accounts
- Behavioral Analysis: Our systems monitor for patterns that may indicate underage users
Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE) Prevention
Vine maintains strict policies and technical measures to prevent child sexual abuse and exploitation:
🛡️ Content Moderation
All user-generated content is screened using automated systems and human moderators to detect and remove inappropriate content.
🤖 AI Detection
We employ advanced machine learning algorithms to identify potential CSAM and suspicious behavior patterns.
📸 Photo Hash Matching
All uploaded images are checked against databases of known CSAM using PhotoDNA and other hash-matching technologies.
⚡ Immediate Action
Suspected violations result in immediate account suspension and reporting to relevant authorities, including NCMEC.
Reporting Mechanisms
Vine provides multiple ways for users and the public to report child safety concerns:
Compliance and Cooperation
Vine complies with all relevant child safety laws and cooperates fully with law enforcement:
- We report all instances of suspected CSAM to NCMEC and regional authorities as required by law
- We respond promptly to lawful requests from law enforcement agencies worldwide
- We maintain detailed logs and records to assist in investigations
- We work with industry partners and safety organizations to improve detection methods
